I had a big exciting job I was supposed to be doing last month, but as luck would have it–the project got postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. This sudden schedule change left me with over a month with no work booked. But as luck would have it, a few bench orders and bird bath orders came in.

So I’ve been able to keep myself and my apprentice busy. But whenever these sorts of schedule changes happen it’s never been much of an issue. Many problems are only a problem if you let them be a problem. See, I use the time to develop new offerings. Never a dull moment. For example….we’ve been developing stone plaques.

Stone Plaques, a hand made alternative to bronze

For years people would order a memorial bench from me, and have me mount a bronze plaque to it. But then I said to myself, maybe I can come up with a stone plaque that can be inset into a bench’s boulder leg.

The plaque here is made from the same sort of stone as the seating platform.

An alternative to the more common bronze plaque. Hand carved from Pennsylvania Bluestone, the plaque here matches the seating platform. The boulder legs are made from boulders I collected within a mile of my own house here in the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania. Bird baths and benches delivered across the USA.
