Devin Devine, a stone mason in Blakeslee, PA, the Pocono region,
serving surrounding areas including Montgomery County

I’ve caught multiple people, some local, claiming to have built this, on social media. One of them was a wealthy home owner looking for props, just looking to “look cool” claimed he and his son dd this. Nope! It’s in my distinctive style, using technique that I developed myself over many years. And of course I have videos of me doing the work.

He thought he had power to attack me like this safely and that I’d just take it an be quiet. Well I’m not naming names publicly, but I’m making sure that everyone locally knows who this work is really by and if he tries it again–people will know.

Undermining someone else’s livelihood, just to try and “look cool”, is lame-o.

Intense work

The Process: I focused, got frustrated, walked away….came back and made it happen. As per usual. This describes, in brief, the journey that a mere content thief will never understand. You think stealing credit is stealing the good stuff, but the journey–that is the good stuff.

Same property. A pathway perhaps showing some influence from Greek architect Pikionis and his work around the Acropolis

Again, the same property. And again showing some influence from Pikionis, and Japan

Less offensively, some guy in Norristown presented it as his work. Photos were taken from a different part of the jobsite, displaying less of the artistry….well the guy was just trying to pay his bills. I feel ya. Still, you aint paid the dues I’ve paid.

Mind you I’m very happy to inspire anyone to do their own original stone work

And I’ve written many how-to articles on subjects of flagstone work, dry stone walling and masonry, to teach you how to get started. I even offer consultation services to provide one on one instruction.

Someone saw me post about this subject and commented saying “your DNA is all over this work”. How right they are–blood, sweat and tears. ‘Nuff said.
